Awards
The civil enforcement sector makes an important contribution to public life, but the drive to improve the sector often remains in the background and uncelebrated.
The Civil Enforcement Awards aims to change that and bring the deserved recognition to both the sector and those working within it.
There are eleven Awards up for grabs and you can enter as many categories as you like! Below are the different categories and the criteria that will be used to judge them.
Technology
Advances in technology have transformed many areas of civil enforcement over the past few years. And, whether it?s hardware, software or innovative application, the advances continue at a pace. This award is aimed at the industry?s pioneers ? those organisations that have gone one step further in harnessing cutting edge technologies or those companies that have used technical innovation to optimise effective enforcement.
Assessors may wish to make contact with the applicants having received their initial submissions.
Download CriteriaInnovation
Entries for the Innovation Award will need to show what makes their product or service innovative or unique, whilst demonstrating the USP and thinking behind the product. What problem does the product or service solve? What objective is it designed to achieve? What technical merit does the innovation have? Is it practical and does it offer good value for money? The judges will also be interested to learn how your innovation improves the civil enforcement industry.
Download CriteriaTraining
This award will recognise good training practice in the industry and encourage new ideas. Training, in this case, is not limited to formal courses. Rather, it embraces a whole range of initiatives that enable people to develop. The judges will be looking to understand the context in which the training initiative took place, the challenges faced before the learning was undertaken, how the training was designed, as well as the benefits of the training.
Download CriteriaInitiative of the Year - public sector
This award is open both to public sector bodies and contractors who can demonstrate that they have undertaken activities which have led to improvements in organisational and/or service improvement in the public sector. It is also intended to encourage new ideas. As with the Training Award, the judges will be interested in understanding the context of the initiative, as well as its intentions and how it was implemented. Also key will be the improvements it has brought to the public service, and the long-term benefits.
Download CriteriaInitiative of the Year - private sector
This award is similar to the Initiative of the Year for the public sector above, but for those involved in improving the private sector.
Download CriteriaCampaign of the Year
The award is to recognise an innovative and effective marketing or communication campaign within the civil enforcement industry. Any channel of communication is eligible, including flyers, posters, websites, adverts and events.
Download CriteriaService to Community
This award will be for an enforcement scheme that has made a real difference to the community. The award is open to a public, private or partnership scheme. What benefits to a community did the scheme provide and has your scheme been emulated by others?
Download CriteriaTeam of the Year
This award will be given to the team, be it public or private sector, newly-formed or established, that best shows people working together to deliver excellence in civil enforcement. Entries should outline the area of enforcement the team is working in, what the team achieved and the processes they used. Has the team been a role model for other teams? Were the members of the team inspired and inspirational? What benefits for the public have arisen from the work of this team, and are these benefits sustainable?
Download CriteriaIndividual of the Year
The Individual of the Year award recognises an individual performance that has provided, or is providing, a significant difference to the handling of the enforcement process for the benefit of the environment and the public. Perhaps you have a colleague whose work has, so far, gone unrecognised? Now is the chance to give them the recognition they deserve.
Download CriteriaEnvironmental Award
The Environmental Award will recognise good practice and implementation which have helped to reduce environmental impact within an organisation, as well as developing alternatives to normal practice in any area, however small.
Download CriteriaGold Award
The Gold Award recognises an outstanding, possibly long-term, achievement in the civil enforcement arena. Nominees can be either organizations, teams, individuals, a technological advance or an initiative.
